The Mt. Olive congregation is made up of people who live throughout the greater Columbia area and the Midlands. Folks travel from as far as Lexington, Newberry, Elgin, and Orangeburg to worship each Sunday., Visit us for worship this Sunday and experience a worship service that focuses on worshiping the Triune God with the traditional liturgy of the Church, inspirational hymns, and Holy Communion., The Sacrament of Holy Communion is the Holy Meal that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ instituted for his disciples to eat and to drink on the night before he died on the cross for our souls' salvation. (Matt. 26:26-28, 1 Cor. 11:23-25) In a most mysterious way, our Lord gives to us his true body and true blood to eat and to drink, "in, with, and under" the earthly gifts of bread and the wine, for the forgiveness of our sins, to strengthen our faith in him and our love for one another.
