First lutheran is a traditional lutheran church in the heart of midtown Houston. Just a mile south of downtown Houston. We still value traditional teaching and worship in the life of the church. We have been in midtown since 1927 and the classic Romanesque architecture of the church reflects that. We sing hymns and love OUR NEW Martin pasi pipe organ. But we are a congregation of diverse ages. Everything from newborns to dear souls in their 90S. We have active outreach to the college across the street AS well AS door to door evangelism. (does that make US weird or passionate?) we Also host occasional NON member weddings for those WHO need a place to share their vows. Visit US anytime on Sunday for Sunday school AT 10:00 AM and worship AT 11:00 AM.
